Plagiarism Policy (Accepted 10% or below)

Definition of Plagiarism:

Plagiarism is the act of presenting someone else’s ideas, words, or creative expressions as one's own without proper citation. This includes:

  • Copying text, figures, or tables from another source without citation.
  • Reusing one's own published content (self-plagiarism) without disclosure.
  • Using internet sources without proper attribution.

Types of Plagiarism:

  • Direct Plagiarism: Copying content word-for-word without quotation or citation.
  • Self-Plagiarism: Using one's own previously published material without referencing.
  • Mosaic Plagiarism: Combining content from various sources without proper credit.
  • Accidental Plagiarism: Failing to cite or paraphrase appropriately, even unintentionally.

Detection & Prevention:

  • Pre-Publication Checks: All manuscripts are screened through Turnitin or similar software. Manuscripts exceeding UGC's acceptable similarity threshold will be returned for correction.
  • During Review: Editors and reviewers will flag suspected plagiarism. Authors will be contacted for revision or citation.
  • Post-Publication: If plagiarism is identified after publication, actions may include:
    • Retraction of the paper
    • Notification to the author's institution or funding body
    • Marking the article with a plagiarism notice

Reporting Plagiarism:

Suspected plagiarism can be reported to: editor.rrjis@rrjournals.in

Author Responsibilities:

  • Ensure originality and proper citation.
  • Disclose reuse of prior work and cite accordingly.
  • Avoid submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals.

AI Policy (Maximum Acceptable AI-Generated Content: 15%)

Use of AI in Manuscript Writing:

Authors may use AI tools such as ChatGPT or Grammarly only as supportive writing aids under the following conditions:

Transparency:

  • Clearly disclose the use of AI tools in the Acknowledgment or Methods section.
  • Mention which tools were used and how (e.g., grammar correction, structure suggestions).

Authorship & Responsibility:

  • AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
  • Authors are fully responsible for all content generated or edited using AI.

Originality:

  • AI-generated content must not include plagiarized material.
  • Authors must review and fact-check all AI-generated sections.

Ethical Use:

  • AI should assist, not replace, critical thinking or data analysis.
  • The integrity, originality, and intellectual contribution must come from the authors.
