Research Review Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics, following the principles and best practices outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process—authors, reviewers, and editors—are expected to uphold these ethical standards to maintain the integrity and credibility of academic research.
For Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism:
Submissions must be original work. Any use of others’ content must be properly cited or quoted. All submissions are screened for plagiarism using tools like Turnitin or similar software. - Data Integrity:
Authors must present accurate and complete data. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data is strictly prohibited. - Multiple Submissions:
Manuscripts must not be under review or published elsewhere. Simultaneous submissions are unethical. - Authorship:
Only contributors with significant involvement should be listed as authors. All co-authors must approve the final version and agree to submission. - Conflict of Interest:
Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest (financial or personal) that could influence the research or its presentation. - Acknowledgment of Sources:
Proper recognition must be given to previous work. Relevant references should be cited accurately.
For Reviewers
- Confidentiality:
Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share or discuss their content with others except with the editor’s permission. - Objectivity:
Reviews must be fair and constructive. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. - Acknowledgment of Sources:
Reviewers should point out uncited relevant works and report any ethical concerns (e.g., plagiarism or duplicate publication). - Conflict of Interest:
Reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
For Editors
- Publication Decisions:
Editors are responsible for the final decision on manuscripts. Decisions are based on relevance, originality, clarity, and overall contribution to the field. - Fair Play:
Manuscripts are evaluated purely on scholarly merit, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or political beliefs. - Confidentiality:
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any manuscript details to anyone other than those directly involved in the review process. - Disclosure and Conflict of Interest:
Editors must not use unpublished materials in their own research without written permission from the author. They must recuse themselves from reviewing any submission with which they have a conflict of interest. - Addressing Misconduct:
Editors will act on allegations of misconduct following COPE guidelines, which may involve investigating, issuing corrections, or retracting published work.
By adhering to these ethical guidelines, the Research Review Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies is committed to promoting academic integrity, transparency, and quality.
